I  stacked three small images vertically from papertrey ink's "quilted: spring" set to create a simple little get well card for a friend . . .

I grew up in the cling peach capital of the world (Gridley, California) so I've always loved this stamp set - can't wait to drive thru the orchards this summer when the peaches are ready to be picked - the scent of acres and acres of ripe peaches is so heavenly!

cool condensation effects

yes, I went to the farmer's market this morning . . . and yes, I loaded up on fresh berries, came home and made belgian waffles topped with blueberries, blackberries, strawberries & raspberries!  Unfortunately, when I grabbed my crystal effects to create the look of condensation on my berries, it was pretty thick and difficult to produce "drops" with the end of a toothpick, but I still like the shiny spots I was able to create on the largest berries.

using vellum to soften patterns

I've had this little scrap of vellum that I stamped 7 years ago for my daughter's wedding invitations - it ended up with some pink and sahara sand scraps and I loved the color combination . . . I tucked a few sequins and a pinch of "snowflake iridescent sprinkles" under the vellum before I attached it to the card base . . . from one beautiful bride to another  :)

It's hard to believe that I've been away from my little blog for TWO months!  Moving was a total nightmare, but I have a great creative space upstairs in our new house . . . pics to come real soon!  I'm making an 8x8 album of my grandson's first year for my daughter and her husband (they will add the photos and journaling - I'm just creating the page layouts).  As I'm looking at this photo, I see that I'm going to have to find a better spot to take pictures because those "pinkish" looking embellishments are actually red!
