watercolor scrap card

I had a little strip of watercolor left over from another project - the colors were too pretty to just toss, so I stuck a couple of "larkspurs" to it and it became a fun little mini card for my office stash . . .

moving to the city . . .

well . . . we moved, we're settled, I have a fabulous space for stamping and scrapbooking, but it's been difficult to find blocks of time to do what I so enjoy
. . . I wanted to send out some "we've moved" announcements in the fall, but didn't get to them, so I combined them with Christmas cards.  Close to my Heart, Papertrey Ink & Stampin' Up made a great combination for my little city scene - I was delighted that they came together so quickly . . .

off the edge . . .

I can't believe it's been over a MONTH since I've posted . . . if I could just keep my husband out of the hospital, I might get some time to be creative!  I'm crazy about this color combo, but I think I'm even MORE crazy about "off the edge" layout style!

high gloss

This was a mini card I had started last weekend, but set it aside because it needed a little something to give it more interest - some embossing powder seems to have solved the problem . . .

Less is More

My goal this year is to streamline my cardmaking process - I'd like to be able to work more efficiently to produce MORE cards.  I'm just such a perfectionist, but I've been able to let go in other areas of my life, so stamping is NEXT!!!

This challenge reminded me of Frank Lloyd Wright & the Craftsman design style:

Jolly Holly

Here's a quick, but elegant Christmas card - I love the effect you can get by "stamping off."

Keeping it Simple Doesn't Mean "Boring"

Here's a super quick card idea - use a large stamp as a background and let the sentiment take center stage.  Add a little patterned strip and a bow - you're good to go!

supplies:  stampin up - ink, cardstock, images, ribbon; papertrey - label, sentiments, dies; patterned paper - basic grey; button from my stash

Well Wishes for Another Cute Couple

My previous post included a garland, but I wanted to try something a little more out-of-the-box for Papertrey's "Make it Monday" challenge.  Hope you enjoy my take on a modern wish for the newlyweds . . .
