holiday card using a stencil

I stamped a stack of images from PTI’s “stitching garden” set and created different layouts with a variety of sentiments - this was my favorite:

I've added pink stripes and a flower to create a feminine version of this cute mail truck for Ink to Paper’s Project: Reach Out.  I kept the design simple so the patterned papers would set it off (not compete with it). 

I have just as much fun making the front of the envelope cute to coordinate with the card inside, so I thought I should start sharing them . . .

COLD & FROSTY

 I’m thrilled for Betsy Veldman’s amazing new company, “the greetery!”  I can’t wait to do some experimenting with her gorgeous stencils, but that will have to wait until after the new year.

I actually sponged the background months ago, using a hexagon stencil and didn't end up using it on another project, but I love the way it looks behind just a section of a cover plate pattern.  The wood sentiment is such a great compliment to the color combo . . .
