dear to my heart

Just pulling out some stamp sets that I haven't used for quite awhile and having fun with some fresh, summery colors.  I've created these cards for my two little grand daughters who are turning five this summer and will be excited to start school - wherever and whatever that will be when the time comes!

mother's day project

because of the situation we're all in right now, I made a few extra mother's day cards this year for elderly friends who are feeling so alone . . .

sending love

I have such a difficult time letting go of the unused elements from completed projects!  I've had red flowers and blue leaves in my bin for a year - so I put them together with a couple of die cut sentiments to create a simple card for Ink to Paper's sending love challenge . . .

you are my favorite

I am experimenting with black & white stamped backgrounds - this is background #1 (it is actually "smokey shadow," which I prefer when I'm using softer colors):

sending hugs & rainbow cheer

a gorgeous spring has sprung here in northern California!  I'm back with another card for Ink to Paper's reach out project - this simple card was made from watercolor scraps and leftover elements from previous projects (I am continually working to bring that pile under control!!!)

just a little thank you

I'm so happy to be joining Ink to Paper's reach out project - I am sharing the card I sent to a sweet young RN who works in the emergency room at one of our local hospitals (she has cared wonderfully for my elderly mother on more than one occasion - she even refers to mom as her "grandma").

WARDROBE INSPIRATION CHALLENGE

Unfortunately, I don't have anything in my closet that's "inspiring" in any way, shape OR form!!!!
(but I had pinned this cute fabric mini bag, mostly because I loved the color/pattern combo, so this became my inspiration for this challenge)

unconventional materials challenge

MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD:  while I was rummaging thru all of my husband's hardware supplies in the garage, I thought I could just throw a handful of small screws, washers & nuts in a shaker card and call it done, but that seemed way to easy . . . my husband is legally blind, so I appreciate these larger sentiments from papertrey . . . happy birthday, honey!

Maile Belles inspiration

so, I've fretted and worried about this little project for several days - I feel so intimidated when I try to re-create someone else's stamping style . . . especially Maile's!  I tried to use a tone-on-tone background when I stamped the hearts with versamark, but it turned out quite bright . . . I kept the rest of the layout very simple, but I just couldn't resist layering a few extra colors and patterns (I love the results!)
