I had originally planned to use a pale pink card base until I put my brown scrap of cardstock beneath it for contrast and loved it!

mother's day project

I had a completely different project in mind last night, but when I got up this morning this is what was running thru my head - so flowers (all hand cut, mind you) and all, with a last minute switch from pink cardstock to the woodgrain and voila - a sweet note for my darling daughter!!!

I have such a difficult time letting go of the unused elements from completed projects!  I've had red flowers and blue leaves in my bin for a year - so I put them together with a couple of die cut sentiments to create a simple card for Ink to Paper's sending love challenge . . .

special delivery

I've added pink stripes and a flower to create a feminine version of this cute mail truck for Ink to Paper’s Project: Reach Out.  I kept the design simple so the patterned papers would set it off (not compete with it). 

I have just as much fun making the front of the envelope cute to coordinate with the card inside, so I thought I should start sharing them . . .

a gorgeous spring has sprung here in northern California!  I'm back with another card for Ink to Paper's reach out project - this simple card was made from watercolor scraps and leftover elements from previous projects (I am continually working to bring that pile under control!!!)

I'm so happy to be joining Ink to Paper's reach out project - I am sharing the card I sent to a sweet young RN who works in the emergency room at one of our local hospitals (she has cared wonderfully for my elderly mother on more than one occasion - she even refers to mom as her "grandma").

'Tis the season . . . for cookie baking and card making!  Each Christmas I try to create 10 card designs, then stamp multiples of each design to send to family and friends.  I have several sets in various stages of assembly, but here is the first completed set:
