iridescent sequins

I love this patterned paper by american crafts, but I wanted to soften the feeling of this birthday card, so I used vellum for the butterfly - white embossing on vellum is ALWAYS a good idea.  I added a bit of ink to the back side of the butterfly for dimension.  The sequins are iridescent - so sparkly!

using sequins as accents

I looked at the calendar on Friday and realized there are a ton of family/friend birthdays between now and the end of the year, so I plan to do a LOT of stamping this week!

colored cotton

3-Stephanie

my little grandson loves to ride the ferris wheel at scheels - and he'll love this pale blue cotton candy!
    * tip:  I found that making the paper "cone" was much easier with vellum than it was with cardstock
